PITTSBURGH – While many people spend Thanksgiving morning preparing their waistbands for a day of feasting, several TRA open and masters athletes laced up their running shoes to participate in the 25th Annual PNC YMCA Turkey Trot. This event serves as the Associations 5K LDR Championships and also features a family fun run and walk and a 5 mile run.
The 5k competition drew nearly 4400 finishers of all ages with medals awarded to first, second and third place finishers, for both Male and Female, for the following categories:11 & Under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.
In addition to the event organizer prizes, TRA Open and masters athletes are rewarded for their participation and finishing placing in their age division by the Association.
